Google app suite won't turn up on Augen tablet computer

Even though the Augen GenTouch78 tablet might run on the open source Android 2.1 operating system, don't expect to see your favorite Google apps on there.

The 7-inch slate computer, which is on sale for the dirt cheap price of $150 at Kmart, had the Google app suite (including a link to the Android Market) pre-loaded without permission from the Goog itself.

Augen claims that the appswere "pre installed during the development process on our tablets for testing purposes, and were not removed unintentionally before releasing the products in the market place." Oops.

Thus, don't expect to see access to any of the Google suite (i.e. Gmail, Maps, Docs, etc.) from this bargain basement tablet until these two companies sort things out.
