Google Gadgets pageview statistics

Adam Sah from the Google Gadgets team announces a new feature that lets developers see how popular their gadgets have actually become -- weekly page views.

Without this small addition to the service, it could have been difficult to monitor the the reach a gadget -- some are pure javascript making it difficult to use many traditional website log analyzers.  Adam does suggest that if you want more detailed statistics, you could make use of the Google Analytics library for gadgets.
