Google will soon be sending out an over-the-air update to Samsung Galaxy Nexus handsets in the UK to rectify a problem with fluctuating volume levels on the device.
Owners of the handset began reporting problems with the phone as soon as it went on sale in the UK in mid-November. Many people found that the volume level fluctuated wildly, between maximum and mute, making it hard to make calls with the device.
However, Google told ZDNet UK in a statement that a fix for the problem is just around the corner.
"We're currently rolling out a fix for the volume issue which will reach everyone in the coming week," a Google spokeswoman said.
The device is the first handset to launch that uses the new Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Google Android operating system.
