I'm headed over to the left coast this morning for the Google I/O 2010 conference. This year, over 5,000 people are expected to attend, so Moscone West will be feeling a little cramped.

There will be 80 formal sessions and 100 demo stations, plus numerous fireside chats and code triage areas throughout the two day conference. The ZDNet team will be there in the middle of it to bring you our unique and varied take on all things Google. I'll be focusing on bringing you all the Android announcements like FroYo and Flash.

By the way, my friends over at the Pragmatic Programmers are celebrating the conference too. Through the end of May they're offering a 30% discount on all titles including Hello, Android, 3rd Edition by yours truly, Code in the Cloud (Programming Google AppEngine) by Mark C. Chu-Carroll, and Seven Languages in Seven Weeks by Bruce Tate. To get the discount just enter the "googleio30" coupon code when you check out.
