Think that having one GoPro camera attached to your car, helmet or skateboard is cool. How about an array of 16 GoPros that can capture 3D video?
The new array was unveiled at Google I/O, and features camera syncing, multi-camera control and extended battery life (battery life is one of the biggest challenges when using GoPros in my experience).
GoPro will leverage Google's new Jump platform to process and share the content, and anyone with a VR headset will be able to step straight into the world you record.
Prototype arrays are being seeded to a select number of YouTube content creators, but will eventually be available for purchase.
Don't expect this sort of rig to come cheap since just the 16 Hero4 Black cameras will set you back $8,000 alone.
