OK, we KNOW that many of you have great green IT stories to tell. So why not tell them?

You have your next chance courtesy of the Uptime Institute, the data center think tank and research group, which is accepting submissions for the third Green Enterprise IT Awards. Basically speaking, the awards are looking for success stories in data center energy efficiency. The categories focus on the following:

  • Audacious Idea
  • IT Innovation
  • Beyond the Data Center
  • Facilities Innovation
  • Data-Center Design
  • Outstanding IT Product
  • Joint IT/Facilities Innovation (I REALLY like this one, because data centers really are a collaborative effort)
  • Outstanding Hosting, Colocation, Cloud or Managed Services
  • Outstanding Facilities Product

You can request an application here. The deadline to get them submitted is a couple of weeks from now on March 1, 2010. The awards will be presented during the next Uptime Institute Symposium in New York, which starts May 17, 2010.
