Harman has introduced geometrically-inspired docking stations in the past, and the JBL OnBeat loudspeaker for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad is no exception.
The JBL OnBeat dock sports dual Phoenix full-range transducers with optimized DSP equalization for a more dynamic sound. The docking station can fit in with your home living room set-up and be operated from a distance using the infrared remote.
Aside from the obvious 30-pin connector dock (which does leave open the option to rotate the iOS device between portrait and landscape orientations), the OnBeat hosts a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack auxiliary input to playback music from other audio sources and a USB port to sync and charge devices. Of course, the dock will charge up the stationed iOS device too.
The JBL OnBeat loudspeaker dock will be available in April for $149.95.
