The HBO Go online streaming service is going mobile soon as apps for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets is expected to drop in May.
Users of this app will be able to view "instant and unlimited access" of "every episode of every season" of HBO shows such as True Blood, Flight of the Conchords and Boardwalk Empire. Additionally, plenty of films will be available to stream too. At least Inception anyway, and what mobile device doesn't have that movie ready to go these days?
The catch is that access to this library will only be free and accessible by current HBO subscribers. The date posted at the end of the advertisement says "05.02.11," so if that's not the release date, it's some very bizarre code. Let's go with the idea that it's a release date.
