Sometimes, even the most dedicated journalists don't get all the scoops.

That's why it's kind of cool when you folks act as our extra eyes and ears out there.

Take "marketben," a frequent clicker of these pages.

He's talked back to us, letting us know he spoke to Vonage corporate last Thursday. Vonage told him that they are testing th Videon Visifone, and intend to release it in September or October.

The phone, marketben reports, can be plugged into a large screen tv/projector, and then used as a videophone for conferencing.

The device will cost between $50 and $150.

All this sounds plausible.

I'd like to hear from those of you who do videoconferencing in more formal settings- go into a conference room and book your videocon sessions through a specialist videoconferencing service.

Would you be willing to ditch your videoconferencing service in favor of a Visifone-to-projector solution? Why or why not? TalkBack to us, like marketben did.
