On September 12, 2012 ZDNet Australia held a special webinar called "How to go green without breaking the bank".

The interactive session was led by the host of Twisted Wire, Phil Dobbie, who talked to two special guests: associate professor Alemayehu Molla from RMIT University's Green IT Observatory, and Graeme Philipson, technology writer and founder of Connection Research.

In the webinar, we broke down what barriers are stopping uptake of new technologies that can cut costs, drive efficiencies and deliver environmental sustainability.

Other topics included:

  • Why green IT cannot be ignored

  • The quick wins that businesses could be employing today with a minimum of effort

  • How to overcome barriers that are preventing uptake

  • The stages in the growth of IT's green capability

  • What smaller companies can learn from the big end of town.
