Infrastructure Management of Dallas, which does business as ManageOne, and U.K.-based CEC Europe Service Management will be integrated with HP's customer support unit, the tech giant said. It did not announce the financial terms of the deal.
Both companies are engaged in education and consulting for IT service management, or ITSM, and have been involved in the creation of standards in this sector, HP said. Their integration into HP would boost its Adaptive Enterprise program and ITSM services. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company has made a series of similar deals to add elements to its Adaptive Enterprise program.
HP recently created a Technology Services group by merging its high-end computing and services divisions. The move is designed to help put together more-efficient packages of hardware (such as servers and storage systems), software and services, company representatives have said.
"These acquisitions will help to strengthen HP's leadership as a premier ITSM services provider," Mike Rigodanzo, a senior vice president for customer support in HP's services division, said in a statement. "Both have the deep ITSM experience and expertise necessary to help customers address their dynamically changing business needs."
