It's a new day, so there is a new pocket camcorder on the market. Today it comes from Hewlett-Packard and its first mini-camcorder foray: the V5020u.
Most importantly, the V5020u shoots a maximum quality level of full HD 1080p video at 30fps in H.264 format. To save battery life and room on the SD/SDHC memory card (expandable up to 32GB), you can shoot either 720p HD at 60fps or WVGA at 30fps. Videographers can also shoot 5-megapixel stills (or up to 8-megapixels with interpolation).
Other need-to-know specs include the 2.0-inch LCD panel, 10x optical zoom and HDMI connectivity.
The HP V5020u will go on sale in October for the reasonable price of $159.
