HP will start selling its Compaq 8200 Elite all-in-one business PC in the UK in October, the company has said.

The PC, which was launched on Monday for the US market, combines a 23-inch LED screen with Intel's latest internals. Some of the Core i-series processors that can be chosen for the Compaq 8200 Elite all-in-one include vPro technology for remote administration, and there are various other security features aimed at enterprise use.

An HP spokeswoman told ZDNet UK on Thursday that the PC "should be available at the beginning of October".

UK pricing for the machine is yet to be confirmed — it will come in a few weeks' time — but the spokeswoman promised it would be "competitive". In the US, the cheapest configuration for the Compaq 8200 Elite all-in-one is $999 (£611).
