After incurring the wrath of customers by announcing it could not upgrade HTC Desires to the Android Gingerbread due to insufficient storage capacity yesterday, HTC is once again "going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire," according to its Facebook page. But can Desire users trust HTC's word?
As of yesterday, HTC said, "there isn't enough memory to allow us both to bring Gingerbread and keep the HTC Sense experience you've come to expect from our phones." Yet a mere 24-hours later, its engineers suddenly believe they can create space with only 512 MB of internal storage and over-the-air at that?
Desire users were promised the Gingerbread update before, but will they finally get it on their phones this time?
