I’ve noticed an interesting trend of late in the social networking world: micro-advertising. Google have embarked on yet another Google Adwords mailout campaign, with a £50 off deal. And now LinkedIn have joined in the fray, with a $50 off deal.
As freelance front end dev work is a bit thin on the ground, I thought I’d give the LinkedIn advertising a go. Who’d have thought it, me, an advertiser?!
And that’s the interesting development, as advertising has reached the micro-level, and we are all becoming advertisers in one way or another. My own skills are pretty darned niche yet if it’s easy, relatively cheap and actually works, then I wouldn’t be averse to advertising. There goes my soul… ;)
