Intel aims to 'wow' with ultrabook prototypes

Intel's Mooly Eden has shown off a number of ultrabook concept devices at CES, including the Nikiski prototype, which has a transparent touchpad and runs Windows 8

Intel's Mooly Eden updated the company's ultrabook efforts at a press conference at CES 2012 on Monday.

Eden showed off the Nikiski concept device, which features a transparent touchpad, coupled with the Windows 8 Metro user interface.

During his presentation, Eden said over 75 ultrabook designs are in the works for 2012. The prototypes will be in a range of shapes and display sizes, including 14- and 15-inch screens.
