Intel will preview its next-generation Atom range of processors at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 32nm family, named Cedar Trail, will have greater graphical capabilities than its Oak Trail predecessor, Intel said, during the Atom Z670 launch on Monday. Intel plans to continue to drive down power consumption to allow for fanless hardware and to further lower the thermal design power (TDP) from the 3W of the Z670 processor for the Cedar Trail processors, it said.
"Users can look forward to a new generation of innovative mobile and desktop designs based on the Cedar Trail platform in the second half of 2011," Intel said.
