Interbrand has unveiled the 2011 Ranking of the Top 100 Brands and the biggest change at the top is that Apple has jumped from #17 to #8.
Apart from Apple's appearance at #8, there's no change at the top, with Coca Cola continuing to dominate. IBM holds on to #2, Microsoft also holds onto its #3 spot (despite seeing a 3% drop in brand value), and Intel is still at #7. In order to grab the #8 spot Apple saw an increase in its brand value of 58%.
Who did Apple displace from the #8 spot? Nokia, who saw its brand value fall 15%.
A new entry to the list for 2011 is smartphone maker HTC who comes in at #98.
