EMC's Iomega on Tuesday will roll out a new network storage array designed to target small and medium sized business designed to hit the key $5,000 price point for 4TB.
The rack-mount storage array, dubbed the StorCenter ix12-300r, fits well in the EMC portfolio. The latest Iomega storage device fill the gap where its small business products end and EMC's large enterprise line-up begins.
According to Iomega, rack-mount StorCenter ix12-300r supports workgroups, departments and distributed offices without IT staff. The latest StorCenter supports up to 250 users and can expand to 24TB in a 2 rack unit.
