Is Vonage really entering the VoIP conferencing services business?

A Vonage executive says that the company is in alpha trials with business customers for VoIP conferencing services.

That's what Vonage U.K.'s Kerry Ritz told a wireless industry conference in London yesterday.

I suspect that being a smart company, Vonage will bring in a third-party teleconferencing solutions partner to handle that end, and essentially participate as a way to leverage sales of boutique-service minutes as well as the new Vonage-branded $100 VoIP handsets they will be releasing by September or October.

I don't only suspect it. I predict it.
