IT morale low at 72% of US companies

CNet news.cnet.com tells about Meta Group research on IT morale. The survey of 650 companies revealed that in 72% of American business the spirits of IT workers are dampening due to the low prospects for job growth. At the same time, 81% of companies confirmed having hired IT staff recently. As for the salary comparisons with other industries, similar occupations in related field were still getting 20% less money than their IT counterparts.
