Jive Software and Egnyte announced a new partnership on Wednesday that will connect their respective cloud-based services.
Announced amid the Structure cloud summit in San Francisco this week, the integration will sync content between Jive's business collaboration platform and Egnyte's enterprise file sharing repository.
Essentially, customers of both brands will be able to collaborate on content stored in Egynte while within Jive from any device or location.
Edits and saves are promised to sync up in real-time in order to avoid mishaps or doubling up on work.
Although it's not an M&A-style consolidation move, the integration does hint at more and more cloud companies warming up to shared services to woo customers looking for simpler data management options.
Many cloud services providers have been touting similar integrations over the last year, from Slack connecting with Google Calendar to Hootsuite tightening ties to Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365.
The Jive-Egnyte integration is available through Jive's QuickStart promo, which runs through the end of the year.
Pitched toward businesses with 2,000 or fewer employees, the package consists of a turnkey Intranet with productivity, collaboration and social features optimized for desktop and mobile channels.
Just like the Jive-Egnyte offering, QuickStart also boasts more tech integrations with Google as well as Microsoft, among others.
