Juniper Networks picks up new CIO from Nvidia

CIO hires and promotions appear to be on the rise this summer. Just last week, both Micron and Informatica touted new CIOs of their own.

Juniper Networksannounced a pair of key new hires on Wednesday.

First up is new chief information officer Bob Worrall, who joins the networking security company from Nvidia, where he previously served as CIO.

At Juniper, Worrall will be tasked with managing Juniper's intellectual property and physical resources.

Worrall will report to Juniper's chief financial and operations officer Robyn Denholm.

Juniper Networks has also appointed Susan Lovegren as senior vice president of human resources, reporting directly to Juniper CEO Rami Rahim.

Lovegren's new role actually marks a return to Juniper, where she previously worked for seven years, leaving as vice president of human resources in 2013.

She has since served as senior vice president of human resources at Plantronics. Similar to her role at Plantronics, Lovegren will be responsible for supporting and promoting growth for company culture in tangent with company business objectives.

Juniper will have more business side news next week with second quarter financial results being published on Thursday, July 23 after the closing bell.
