Lenovo's second announcement of the day is the first model in a new series of computers: the ThinkCentre Edge 91z all-in-one desktop PC.

Touted for smaller office spaces (i.e. small businesses, home offices, etc.), the ThinkCentre Edge 91z is boasted to be able to save up to 70 percent in desk space when compared to the average tower-and-display combos currently on the market. That's mainly because this AIO desktop measures only 2.5-inches thin.

On paper, the ThinkCentre Edge 91z is a simple machine in both design and features. But just because this machine is super slim doesn't mean Lenovo has left out all of the good stuff. Here's a glance at some of the most notable specs:

  • 21.5-inch glossy HD display
  • Up to Intel i7 Quad Core processors
  • Up to 8GB of DDR3 memory
  • Optional 1GB of ATI discrete graphics
  • 1TB hard drive or 80GB solid state drive
  • Wi-Fi
  • Webcam
  • Optional Blu-ray/DVD drive
  • HDMI connectivity

Additionally, Lenovo has integrated its signature Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 technology, which enables the ThinkCentre Edge 91z to boot up 30 percent faster than all-in-one desktops in the same class.

The ThinkCentre Edge 91z all-in-one desktop will be available this July via business partners. Pricing starts at $699. The spill-resistant, wireless keyboard (pictured) is optional.
