LG has unveiled its new Optimus smartphone and tablet series in the United Kingdom. The collection will feature "a range of operating systems," including Android 2.2 (Froyo) all ready to go on some models.

Set to be a family of 10 by the end of 2010, only the Optimus One with Google and Optimus Chic will be available first. The names don't hide much on these smartphones, as the former offers direct access to the Google suite of apps and the Android Market, while the latter has a focus on fashionable design. Expect to see Froyo on-board when they're shipped.

More notably, we should be seeing the first LG tablet computer later this year. Unfortunately, LG fails to deliver any specifics on any of these devices regarding a release road map and pricing.
