Linux server market to generate $10 bln annually by 2008

IDC says PC hardware and packaged software on Linux is expected to reach $35.7 bln by 2008. The use of Linux as the primary operating system will rise steadily. While still a minority player on the desktop/PC world, Linux penetration will reach $10 bln annual revenues on 17 mln units shipped globally by 2008.
