Eighteen-year Hewlett-Packard Co. (hwp) veteran Ann Livermore has made customers her business for much of the past year. A year ago, many industry watchers were unsure whether Livermore would stay put once she was passed over for the HP CEO slot that ultimately went to former Lucent Technologies executive Carly Fiorina.
