European Commission competition spokeswoman Amelia Torres confirmed the venue and appeal to ZDNet UK on Tuesday, but declined to comment further.

The European Commission fined Microsoft the record €899m (£784m) in 2008 for non-payment of an earlier €497m antitrust fine. The original fine was imposed in 2004 over interoperability.
