Another day, another patch...

Microsoft has posted a patch to enable XP to run on a range of AMD mobile computers. Early versions of XP are missing a crucial file that allows users to run a battery-saving technology called Powernow! on certain laptops with AMD processors. The problem affects Athlon 4 and Duron mobile processor chips. Affected users can download a patch from the Microsoft site.
