Microsoft splashes loud patterns on Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Studio series

The Microsoft Hardware recently unveiled the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Studio series, which offers a design "step beyond color."

Do computer mice really need to have colorful, loud patterns? It seems like the developers over in the Microsoft Hardware group sure think so.

The developers recently unveiled the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Studio series, which offers a design "step beyond color."

The Wireless Mobile mice come decked out in one of three patterns: Wave, Folk and Geode, which can be seen in order from left to right above. If I had to pick, the middle pattern (Folk), which is based on Scandinavian tribal art, is fairly attractive. Yet I'm not sure if I need or want a mouse to be that flashy.

Those of you who prefer your mice to be shaded in solid colors, you are more than welcome to pick up a copy from a Wireless Mobile Mouse in grey, pink purple, red and blue.  The Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Studio collection is available now at Best Buy stores only for $29.95.
