Motorola hasn't given any official announcement regarding the Droid X2 release, but we know it's coming. And these leaked images could serve as evidence.
Sent in by an anonymous source to Android Central, the images reveal the rumored-to-be Droid X2 prototype running Android 2.2 and sporting some familiar navigation buttons centered on the bottom of the handheld.
Additionally, this Droid X2 hosts an HDMI port, a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel camera with flash, and a very large (likely 4.3-inch) touch screen. However, nothing points towards any groundbreaking or really evolutionary specs...such as 4G.
These photos look quite similar to the images that made the rounds back in February, so this could turn out to be authentic. However, no one can be certain until Motorola says so.
