Moving short film: What if Fukushima had contaminated Tokyo?

What if Fukushima had contaminated Tokyo with dangerous levels of radiation? A film far more haunting for its resemblance to every day life than to Half Life.

A man kisses his pregnant wife goodbye, puts on his gas mask, and commutes to work. Without giving too much away, this is what would have happened had Fukushima contaminated Tokyo with dangerous amounts of radiation. Worth watching all the way through.

If this represents the common sentiment in Japan about nuclear power right now -- and surveys indicate that it does -- it's likely we'll see a blossoming of renewable power in that country on par with what's already happened in Germany, where solar panels already have a higher peak power output than all three of the reactors at Fukushima that were operational when the earthquake hit.
