MSI rolls out slim Core i5-powered P600 and S6000 notebooks

MSI has a pair of new slim notebooks available in North America now. Designed for both business and entertainment, the P600 and S6000 laptops are intended for on-the-go users.

Powered by Intel Core i5 450M processors, both of the new MSI computers share many of the same specs, including:

• 15.6-inch HD display (1,366 x 768 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio)
• Windows 7 Premium OS
• Intel GMA HD graphics
• 4GB of DDR3 memory
• 500GB hard drive
• 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
• Dual speakers
• 3-in-1 card reader (SD/SDHC/MMC)
• 1.3-megapixel webcam
• Connectivity: Two USB 2.0 ports, eSATA/USB combo port, HDMI, D-sub, Microphone-in, Headphones-out, RJ-45

The differences? The S6000 weights just five pounds with a 4-cell battery, while the P600 (pictured above) weighs in at 5.3 pounds with an 8-cell battery.

The MSI P600 is available online now with the starting price of $729.99, while the S6000 will pop up in stores "soon."
