NetApp has reported a strong finish to its fiscal year and raised the outlook for the next quarter.
The storage player reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $160.6m (£98.6m), or 40 cents a share, on revenue of $1.43bn, up from $1.17bn a year ago. Non-GAAP earnings were 59 cents a share, well above Wall Street analysts' estimates of 53 cents a share. For fiscal 2011, NetApp reported earnings of $400.4m, or $1.13 a share, on revenue of $5.12bn.
As for the outlook, NetApp projected fiscal first-quarter revenue of $1.5bn, give or take three percent. Year-on-year that sum equates to 26 to 34-percent revenue growth.
