As for SteelStore, the backup appliance will enable archiving and recovery of business data to AWS. NetApp recently. Riverbed had already offered SteelStore on AWS.
NetApp said that its Cloud ONTAP will be available as two Amazon Machine Images (AMIs)---explore and standard options---and a six-month subscription. AWS is the first cloud provider to run ONTAP.
SteelStore will be available in three AMI options with general availability in NetApp's fiscal 2015 third quarter.
