Announced back in July, subscription plans start at $7.99 CAD for unlimited instant streaming of movies and TV shows found in the expanding Netflix catalog. Canadians are eligible for a one-month trial period (just like they do down here), so Netflix probably won't be making any money off of this until November.
However, the service only operates in English for now, but Quebec will get its chance "over time" when the site is made available in French.
Does this mean we'll see Netflix expand to other Francophone countries (or any others) soon? Hopefully U.S. users will be able to stream content when visiting our neighbors to the north as well.
