NetWorld+Interop kicks off in London

Major networking show and conference NetWorld+Interop opened today at Earls Court, bringing together IT specialists and leading networking vendors including Novell, Bay Networks, UB Networks, 3 Com and Lotus.

Companies unveiling new products included Netscape with network package SuiteSpot 3.0, UB Networks with network management software NetDirector@Web and Lotus with its Notes 4.0 'Domino' groupware product.

The 142 exhibitors will show products from the whole networking spectrum, from components to Virtual LANs and groupware software. The show also features the £10 million InteropNet which links all exhibitors to a huge network assembled and managed for the show by leading network engineers.

PC Magazine Network Edition also has a stand at the show and will be testing network management tools. The show runs until Friday and includes seminars, speeches and education sessions.
