The National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co) has unveiled its new website, which outlines it will not favour any one retailer — even though it may become one itself.

"As a wholesale-only network the NBN will give retail service provider (RSPs) an equivalent opportunity to serve Australia's digital access needs," the NBN Co has written about itself under its Our Services page.

It promises to "support healthy retail competition by ensuring the product set does not favour a small number (or one) player".

The new site comes as tension mounts over the government's draft NBN legislation, which could allow it, under ministerial discretion, to sell retail services to another organisation.

The site contains a glossary of terms, RSS feed options, tenders, jobs, as well as videos and podcasts made by its executives.

It also contains a disclaimer in its legal notice, outlining that it "cannot guarantee the accuracy, currency or completeness of the information provided and we accept no responsibility for errors in the content at any time".
