There is going to be some more competition added to the ever-increasing e-book reader war as some new Sony Reader models are expected to be on the way.
According to one of Sony Insider's "most trusted sources," the 5-inch PRS-350 and 6-inch PRS-650 devices will be rolled out "soon." Both will host touchscreens, have potential sub-10mm widths, 2GB of storage space, a new home interface and some performance improvements like faster page turns.
Best of all, the PRS-650 is predicted to have Wi-Fi, and possibly even 3G connectivity, while the PRS-350 probably won't have either.
Unfortunately, there isn't a clue on pricing yet, although if Sony wants to stay competitive with Amazon and Barnes & Noble, a price tag under $200 wouldn't hurt.
