News Burst: AOL goes free - targets Freeserve
As predicted by ZDNet News, AOL is to launch a free ISP in the UK it was announced Monday.
Dubbed Netscape Online, the service will go head to head with Freeserve, which has been a thorn in AOL's side since it launched in September last year. Despite assertions from UK boss David Phillips the free model was not the answer, rumours have been circulating about a separate free service for months.
