News Burst: Apple announcements
On the first day of its worldwide developers conference, Apple is today expected to announce in the US, new PowerBooks, give more details on its recent deal with Macromedia and discuss new consumer devices.
Meanwhile, the company's Web site was, this morning, turned off to display a short message saying, "You missed the big moment at Woodstock,1 the Moon landing and Geraldo's grand opening of Al Capone's vault. Don't miss what will be revealed here at noon."
