News Burst: e-Minister meets Net campaigners

e-Minister Patricia Hewitt met with members of the Campaign for Unmetered Telecommunications Wednesday and agreed to put unmetered Internet access top of the government's agenda.

CUT is campaigning for BT to drop its pay-per-minute access to the Internet and introduce unmetered tariffs as an alternative. The campaign has attracted some high profile allies, including the world's biggest ISP AOL and the Times newspaper.
