The latest specification for Bluetooth -- the wireless technology which allows devices to talk to each other -- was released Tuesday.
Specification V 1.0B is the latest in a series of delayed specs for the technology. Bluetooth gained an important ally last week as Microsoft joined the special interest group after months of prevarication. While many experts believe Bluetooth will be a key technology, particularly in the development of networked homes, others argue it may not live up to initial promise.
