News Burst: Micron sues Rambus on antitrust grounds

Semiconductor manufacturer fights increasing royalties on memory chips

A lawsuit was filed by Micron Technology Monday against intellectual property firm Rambus, which has begun demanding royalties on standard PC memory technology.

The suit alleges Rambus has violated antitrust laws claiming the "invalidity, non-infringement, and non-enforceability of Rambus patents".

The suit was filed in US District Court in Delaware.
