News Burst: Music online thwarted by 'glitch'

One of the world's leading music companies -- with ideas to sell online -- has had its plans scupperred...

According to the Wall Street Journal, Universal Music Group's planned external trial of an online music selling system has been cancelled due to technology glitches.

The system -- Project Nigel -- is a joint development with AT&T, BMG Entertainment, a unit of Bertelsmann AG, and Japanese electronics firm Matsushita Electric Industrial.
