News Burst: Plug pulled on power-line Internet access

Plans to transmit data over electricity cables were abandoned for commercial reasons Wednesday as Canadian equipment firm Nortel and UK-based United Utilities pulled the plug on a technology seen by some as a viable alternative to DSL.
