Nokia Comes With Music service to give you all you can eat for free

Current major record labels that Nokia has signed on to the program include Universal Music Group, EMI Music, Warner Music Group, and Sony BMG. There will also be many independent labels supported by the service.

The 5800 will obviously support the new service, but the first device launching with it will actually be the 5310 XpressMusic device scheduled for a 17 October launch in the UK for GBP 129.99. Comes With Music will be available on the Nokia N95 8GB as well and I believe this means new purchases of this device.

While you do get to keep the music forever, even after the year of included service has expired, it does seem that you will need a compatible Nokia device to listen to the music and you won't be able to burn the songs to a CD and transfer to an iPod or MP3 player. As stated in a Nokia press release, "Purchased songs can also be transferred between a PC and a compatible Nokia device, regardless of which device was used to buy them." I don't think this is an unreasonable requirement given that you will have access to thousands of songs with the service and the cost is rolled into the device price.
