NSW govt signs for IP phones

The NSW Government has opted to roll out internet protocol (IP) telephones to the parliament and electoral offices, selecting Samsung Communications and Commander for the work.

in brief The NSW Government has opted to roll out internet protocol (IP) telephones to the parliament and electoral offices, selecting Samsung Communications and Commander for the work.

The contract sees Samsung Communications slated to install 480 handsets into the NSW Parliament, while Commander will kit out 95 NSW electoral offices with IP telephony systems.

The two companies will also collaborate on training and support services for its newest government customer.

The roll-out will commence immediately with work to be finalised by the end of the month.
