Cable and telecommunications company ntl announced a £65m Internet deal with the Football League Wednesday.
The two organisations are planning a football fans' portal that will carry League information. ntl will pay the Football League in rights fees over the next five years.
All 72 League clubs will have the chance to set up links from their own Web sites to the league portal and share in profits from the business.
Revenue to the portal should come through advertising and the sale of club and league merchandise online, according to reports.
