Nuggets: Palm printer to go

A printer to fit your PalmPalm recently has been giving Windows CE a thorough pasting, and its Palm Pilot personal organiser is one of the most popular gadgets around.

What better to make the ubiquitous handheld even more useful than a printer to go with it? Well, now Monarch has come up with just such a device and launched the world's first handheld printer for the Palm family at Comdex. How nice of it.

The 6015 Handheld Printer is compatible with both Palm and Symbol devices. It acts as a cradle for the PDA and thermal direct prints out two-inch receipts at a speed of one inch per second.

As you'd expect, or at least hope for, its pretty light at under 16oz, comes in a clamshell design and runs on four AA batteries.

Monarch are still trying to work out how much they can get away with charging you, but it should be out in January.
